Bi-annual update!
I stepped down from raid leader over the summer and transferred "ownership" over to Pup, who has done a marvellous job and is 1000x more laid back than I ever could be. I still get to meddle a bit, but don't have to deal firsthand with the RL headaches, which makes me a happy, happy camper.
TSO was somewhat appalling at first - I wasn't excited or impressed with 1 new overland zone and as usual, am always hungry for places to go get lost, but I do like the new group content and shard armor. It gives you something to work on during the endless painful AA grind. I like the fireflies in the swamp, as well. It's the little things... ;)
Ok, on with the screenies:

So gnomes DO like tall girls...

Val explains to a newbie that Audra is really a violent sort of person... you should see what happens to monkeys when she's around.. :(

We need more gnomish vehicles. I compensate with some wall art.

Yum!

I can't post the screenshot, but one night on raids a former member was irritating the piss out of the group and the suggestion came up from a raider that we have the person start by casting "Call of the Qeynos" on the mob. lol /thumbsup
I was out one night and Audra spills the redwood story...

Oops!

The guides got wands that turned people into reindeer this year...this guy had an awesome time running out in the ice and feigning death...he'd slide across the ice and thrown snowballs would push him here and there. We should have arranged a "shuffleboard" game with him.

Sometimes I love the humor in the game...

Gigglegibber Santa will sell you the beard off his face to get a gold or two...

Grymm, you're going to be LATE!

Um, turns out the guide wand works on guards. *cough*
Also, someone has misplaced their nose...

On the guide toon - a player asks me if I can help him get a rare. So I "help."

Poetry meeting on the Freeport docks!

/em writes ticket for oversized vehicle in Qeynos Harbor, parking in a thoroughfare and an outdated sticker.

Guildmate's wall art - I loved this:

Did you just kill that reindeer??

I want Mojo's dice!

On second thought, mine aren't so bad...

More dev humor:

I love this painting, and I want one. the end.

Behold, the herd!

Shuu humor:

Derrrrr

And then, I'm going to road rage all over this town!

You ...turkeys.

I'm efficient, what of it?

Upek shares some game wisdom. :D

Val learns an important lesson about buying mythicals:

Mihala strikes a pose:

Another vampire stampede screenie:

Dead Venril!

Kish quit the guild to raid elsewhere, and removed a few of her alts - 5 were removed from the guild by the time I logged in. Because she'd expressed no desire to stick around HM, we figured it was time to clean out her alts. All gazillion of them.. I post this because I've seen people go alt crazy and we knew she had a lot in the guild, but as they'd trickled in, we didn't quite know the extent:

This is what you get for smushing the brigand:

I ran into a Twilight fan on the docks - their character had a variation of the name "Edward Cullen" (the main vampire love interest in the books). He was mid-call-out and stopped to bristle and growl at me. :D I changed to vampire and ran off, but he got in a parting shot in tells later. ;)

Ok this last set, I ran out of screenies so I'm posting this to fill in some space and I promise to take more (and better) screenies in the future. It's not that hard to hit the screenshot button but still I forget.
Every once and a while you run into a roleplayer on a non rp server who takes their character development very seriously. They have long convoluted tales that they are happy to roll out in /say or /tell... 30 minutes or more of backstory and lore. That's all well and good, but it's much better put in a blog or written out in story form soemwhere (where it can be skimmed).
The more seriously a player seems to take themselves, the more irreverant I get. It's an ADHD thing, and I'm sticking to that story.
Once and a while though you get a rp'er on the fringe who'll meet halfway. And when I say "meet halfway" I mean: tolorate the guide's shenanigans. I was entertained with this, though I know it loses a lot in the retelling, so grain of salt with the screenies.
He kept up the chat til duels broke out on the docks and I moved along. Most of the emotes are removed, since they generally fit "in the moment" but are distracting after the fact.
